Fun ways to be a better footballer FAST!
Guest Player Appearance at a Showcase or Open Tournament
Guest Player Appearances are an excellent way to increase the amount of fun you have playing soccer. You essentially look up a showcase or tournament - and sign up to be a guest player for a team. Sometimes this ends you up as a player for another team that is attending the event - or it could lead to a “put together” team by the facilitator of the event.
Playing Up (League Levels)
Your coach may choose to play up a league with your club. University Prep Soccer did this regularly with its players, Uprep preferred to play exhibition - this is away to really have fun because the focus isn’t always on winning. A “friendly” is just what it is “A Friendly”.
Enjoying the Game
Enjoying the Game of Soccer is extremely important to those who want to play at a post-secondary school level. The work load to prepare for games and train the body core increases substantially - therefore just getting to a point where you have fun - will only increase your motivation to become a better player. We hope you use the resources with we used to become the players that we did - fun is really the main reason everyone plays the game!
